Lagree Fitness Master Trainer Piper Michelle is coming to Sculpt Studio this weekend, and we couldn’t be more excited. She’ll be teaching class on Saturday April 5th at 9:00 am. Then be on the lookout for some new tricks on the Megaformer after that as she spreads her love and joy of Lagree Fitness to Bethesda! We couldn’t resist but pick her brain on a few things:

Why do you love Lagree Fitness and the Megaformer?

What’s not to like! Above all, I love the Lagree Fitness Method because of the results. It’s more than burning calories or getting stronger– I could tell after my very first class that there was something else about it. Later I would learn it’s because Lagree Fitness effectively combines all 5 elements of physical fitness into not just one session, but each and every move. The consistent intensity throughout the class challenges your Strength, Endurance, Cardio, Flexibility, and improving Body Composition all at once.

We love the results too! Why is it so effective?

The form and flow are streamlined on the Megaformer to maximize the efficiency of your workout. It means getting your workout in less time, and seeing results quicker. Each session is an uninterrupted heart-pumping, muscle-stimulating experience geared towards training the body to improve alignment, strength, and form. Fitness is not just about maximizing intensity, but with Lagree Fitness you are programming and training the body to operate at it’s highest level.

How was your first class on the Megaformer?

I was definitely intimidated. I had never done anything like it and really didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t go in expecting to be perfect, but I also didn’t expect it to be as challenging as it was! ::laughs:: I distinctly remember looking around about 10 minutes into my first session (already drenched in sweat, I should add) during Standing Inner Thighs thinking, “Where did they find all these ninjas to be in my class?!” But it was so inspiring. It helps having trainers to guide you throughout the session to find the effective stimulation your muscles need to improve, no matter your ability level, and lead you the entire time so that every session is just as effective as your first session. Like they say, it doesn’t get easier, you just get stronger.

What is the best part of your job?

I teach class in Los Angeles, and spend the rest of my time traveling and training at Lagree Fitness Studios. No matter where I am, I love seeing bodies change! Even within one session, I am always so inspired and impressed with the improvement each and every person makes. The Lagree Fitness Method is so effective that because the posture and alignment of each exercise performed on the Megaformer realigns the joints and connective tissues, it makes it the only workout truly adaptable to all fitness levels and across all ages.

And of course, what is your favorite move?

Super Lunge! It hits the legs, glutes, abs, & arms, all while linking alignment, movement & coordination. Talk about the perfect burn!
