Sculpt Studio was transformed into a TV studio for an entire morning last Wednesday, as WJLA-NewsChannel8 reporter, Eileen Whelan (and her dauntless camerawoman, Vanessa), broadcast the Good Morning Washington show’s #WorkoutWednesday segment from Sculpt.

We thought you’d like to see and hear about some of the behind the scenes action that went into making that broadcast happen.

When the NewsChannel8 crew arrived, we still were slightly sleepy and welcoming the (actual) gallon of Starbuck’s in the Studio office; while the news crew told us they regularly begin their days at 1:30 a.m. (and you thought our new 5:00 a.m. Sculpt class was early!).

After making acquaintances and checking equipment, we got down to business talking about who we are and what’s so great about a Megaformer workout that only Sculpt Instructors can deliver.

Things got into full swing as Sculpt Instructor Lauren led a class, testing the mettle — and muscles — of fellow Instructors Sonia, Jean-Richard, David, Damon (and up-and-coming Instructor Annie) on the Megaformers.

Reporter Eileen Whelan even tried some moves on the Megaformer with Mary Farber’s guidance and encouragement, summing up the experience with “This is no joke!”
